
Take a trip through Canada's premiere urban park with the Tour de Greenbelt this Saturday September 17th!Rouge Park is so close to downtown Toronto, you’ll forget where you started. The 2011 Tour de Greenbelt has five routes: 12k, 29k, 50k, 75k, and 100k. This Saturday, you have the chance to discover Canada’s premiere near urban wilderness with delicious Greenbelt grown food, contests, kids activities and live music along the way. We’ve even arranged for fabulous weather.

Here is a sneak peak of some of the Discovery Stops:
- Shop for fresh food at Whittamore’s Farm and Reesor Farm, two family-fun farm markets. We’ll shuttle your purchases for you.
- Guides from the Friends of the Rouge Watershed will help you spot wildlife in Rouge Park’s many wetlands.
- You can stretch your legs and take a short hike to a restoration site and learn about the 10,000 Trees Project.
- On the 75 and 100k routes, you’ll get to explore Rouge Beach and the gorgeous Herongate Barn Theatre.
