Join us for tonight's Twitter Party! It's on the Funbelt: Natural Areas in the Greenbelt at 8:00 PM EDT. RSVP and follow #ONGreenbelt. |
This fall the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation launched an exciting partnership with the Toronto Star.
From September 13th to October 22nd, the Greenbelt is being featured in a 6-part article and Twitter Party series.
For 6 weeks veteran journalist John Barber is presenting his unique take on a Greenbelt issue. Barber's columns are published in the Toronto Star on the Saturday, they're re-posted on our website on the Sunday. And, this is the best part, each week we're using Barber’s article as a catalyst for a Wednesday evening Twitter Party.
The 1-hour Twitter Parties are your chance to ask questions, share your thoughts, and even win some prizes.
We’ve had two parties already, and there’s still 4 left to go!
So, if you care about locally grown food, a fresh, sustainable water supply, and protected agricultural and environmental spaces, or if you just want to learn more, this is your chance to join the discussion.
Here's a list of the upcoming Twitter Parties. Note: the next one's tonight! And it's going to be a good one.
- The Funbelt - Party on Wednesday, October 1 at 8:00pm EDT
- The Watershed - Party on Wednesday, October 8 at 8:00pm EDT
- Ecology of the Greenbelt - Party on Wednesday, October 15 at 8:00pm EDT
- Future of the Greenbelt - Party on Wednesday, October 22 at 8:00pm EDT
On the night of the event you can participate by logging into your Twitter and searching for the hashtag #ONGreenbelt. Just make sure to RSVP for your chance to win prizes. Prizes include tote bags, t-shirts, local food, picnic tickets and more! (Canadian residents eligible only).
