New report released on expanding Ontario’s Greenbelt through urban river valleys
February 28, 2013
In honour of the Greenbelt’s eighth birthday, the Ontario Greenbelt Alliance has released a report titled, Good Things Are Growing in Ontario: Expanding Ontario’s Greenbelt Through Urban River Valleys.
The report shows that more than five million Ontarians would be directly connected to the Ontario Greenbelt if the Greenbelt encompassed some of the province’s best known rivers and creeks. This is now a possibility with the province’s January announcement of the urban river valley designation.
