HOW I LEARNED TO LOVE COMMUNITY GARDENING
With support from the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation, the New Canadians Go Greenbelt! Project is providing nearly 1,700 ethno-cultural crop seedlings to 14 World Crop Learning Gardens across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. The Greenbelt Foundation’s Sam Cheuk recently visited a number of these sites and reports back on his growing appreciation for community gardening.

The official ride to launch the Greenbelt Route begins August 16
For the first time, one of Canada’s preeminent cycling events, the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure (GWTA), is moving away from the water and into Ontario’s protected countryside. The six-day ride (August 16-21) marks the official launch of the new 475 km Greenbelt Route. There are still some spots left and we’d love to see you there!
