Ontario's Greenbelt Under Threat: a study on what's at risk
The Ontario Greenbelt Alliance and Environmental Defence have released a new study on potential threats to the future of Ontario's Greenbelt.
The study's authors identified four distinct challenges to the Greenbelt's continued vitality: new infrastructure developments, new sprawl developments, the dumping of contaminated fill/soil on agricultural lands, and the proposed Pickering Airport.
An interesting read! And a timely one - the 2015 Greenbelt Review is right around the corner.
