Throughout the month of April, the Province has been holding regional Town Halls across southern Ontario as part of the Co-ordinated Review of its four major land-use plans. We’ve been criss-crossing the Greater Golden Horseshoe participating in, and listening to, these historic conversations. As we enter the mid-way point of the first round of the Review process, CEO Burkhard Mausberg reflects on what he’s heard so far and why it’s so important to have your voice heard by the May 28 deadline.

Jane’s Walk comes to Burlington this weekend
From May 1 to 3 join one of the many Greenbelt-themed walks throughout Burlington and nearby areas. We’ve teamed up with Jane’s Walk, the annual global festival of community-led walking tours, to facilitate dialogue on Burlington’s unique geography, natural and cultural heritage, local food, and how the Greenbelt and Growth Plans are shaping the region’s development.

The Ontario Headwaters Institute and 19 local partners are offering guided “Headwater Hikes” across Ontario’s Greenbelt. Explore the Greenbelt's protected lakes, rivers, and streams and take advantage of the opportunity to participate in a free guided hike through some of the Greenbelt’s most magnificent terrain.
