
Write an original Haiku, incorporate cycling and Greenbelt themes into it to Win!
Bike-Ku Official Rules:
This contest organized by the Tour de Greenbelt (www.tourdegreenbelt.ca)
How it Works:
- Write a Bike-Ku, which is a Haiku about biking in the Greenbelt. A Haiku is a poem consisting of a five syllable, seven syllable and five syllable line. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haiku)
- Join our Facebook fan page or Follow us on Twitter
- Post your Bike-Ku on the Greenbelt Facebook page or to Greenbeltca as a message on Twitter
- Encourage your friends to comment and “like” your Bike-Ku as that gets you points
Judging:
- Winners will be chosen based on originality and creativity of entry
- Extra points will be given to Haikus that incorporate Greenbelt content
- Extra points will be given to Haikus who receive many “likes”, positive comments and get retweeted and reposted

Contest opens: Wednesday, August 19, 2010
Contest Closes: 11:59pm on Monday, September 6th
Winners announced Tuesday, September 7th, 2010
